Men: Learn How To Give Gifts That She Will Love

Gift giving ideas do not generally come easily to men. And that’s okay, as long as you are willing to learn how to give a gift to your lady that she will love.

First let’s talk about what gifts not to give. Many of you have already made this very common mistake. If it is a birthday, anniversary or any other gift giving occasion, please remember that your woman is not your house. Over the years men have bought various household appliances and given them to their spouse as a gift only to have their lady end up disappointed and hurt, leaving you men not understanding why. Well, it is really very simple. Your woman is your woman. Your house is your house. If you want to give a gift to your house, then, go buy that new vacuum cleaner, or iron, etc. But if you want to give a gift to your woman, then go buy a gift for your woman. Before I go on, I must add that some woman would love a household appliance as a gift. Just be sure she requests it first. There are women who will say that all they want is a new washer, iron, coffee maker etc. In those cases it is fine to give an appliance as a gift. Just remember, that in divorce court that new washer was a gift, not community property.

Now that we have set the record straight about giving appliances, let’s figure out how to know what your lady wants.

Most women would love a gift selected just for her. Something that she knows you have selected just for her because of your love for her, or because you care enough to pay attention to her likes and dislikes.

So how do I do that he asks. Pay attention to her comments over a period of time. Look around at the things she has selected and bought for herself. If she has some type of collection, buy something to add to that collection. If she loves sewing, get a gift certificate to her favorite fabric store. Or, if she loves gardening, look at her gardening accessories and maybe replace something that she uses a lot and might be in need of replacing. If she loves bubble baths, scope out her collection of bubble bath. See which brands and which scents she uses, then stock up on them.

Unfortunately, a lot of women still play the old game of “well if you don’t know what I want, then I am not going to tell you.” Childish you say? Of course it is. But you can always outsmart them by simply paying attention over a period of time. When you do this, the women in your life will love you more for it and you come out the winner. Big Time!

Having a hard time picking out a gift for your lady? Just remember these tips: First, your woman is your woman; your house is your house. You are shopping for your woman, not your house. Household appliances should not be given as gift unless it is all she says she really wants. Second, pay attention to what she enjoys and get her something with that in mind.
