Massachusetts Attractions - Frank Newhall Look Memorial Park

The Frank Newhall Look Memorial Park is located at 300 North Main Street inFlorence, Massachusetts. The park consists of over one hundred & fifty acresand was a gift to the City of Northampton from Mrs. Fannie Burr Look. No fundsare received from tax resources. The park is a city-owned park and isadministered by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees.

The pedal boats feature two and four seats boats on Willow Lake and is openweekends May, September, and October through Columbus Day from 12 Noon to 6:00p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Sunday.One rider must be at least 56" tall to rent boat, 4 riders maximum per boat.Rides last for 30 minutes at $6 per boat ride.
Miniature Golf opens in April through Columbus Day in October on weekends.Play 18 holes on a beautiful landscaped garden course, $5 for adults, $3 forchildren and $3.50 for senior citizens.
Bumper boats are new attractions at the Frank Newhall Look Memorial Park inMassachusetts. Take a ride in their lagoon complete with a waterfall. Rides area 10 minute cycle. Riders must be at least 56" tall to ride alone. Boats allowtwo riders maximum per boat.
The picnic store is a great stop for food and refreshments located near theplayground and the Water Spray Park and are open daily from Memorial Day untilLabor Day 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Features are:

The Christenson Zoo feature white-tailed deer, peacocks, bald eagles, owls,rabbits, ferrets, sheep and more. The zoo is open daily from May throughSeptember 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Richard S. Holden Visitor Center you will find season passes, picnicpermits, tennis permits, miniature Golf and Bumper Boat tickets plussouvenirs.
Tennis is six all-weather courts lighted until 9 p.m. open on or about April1 until November 1.
A new play structure age appropriate for 2 - 5 years old is located near theDow Pavilion. They also have two giant play scapes, age appropriate for kids 2 -5 and 5 - 12 in the Playground Picnic area. Their newest play structure islocated near the Look Park Train Station.
The walking path is a 1.2 mile scenic path around the Park.
The Water Spray Park was opened in Jun of 1999. It is 5000+ square footcomplete with ground jets, bucket dumps, water umbrellas and more. There arechanging areas and lockers available, and no charge for this attraction opensdaily from Memorial Day weekend through September, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Garden House at the Frank Newhall Look Memorial Park in Massachusetts isthe area´s premier community and banquet facility. It provides accommodationsfor public and private parties, meetings and community events.
The interior is simple country elegance featuring a large stone fireplace andmahogany paneled walls decorated with hand-crafted botanical stencils. There isan enclosed sun porch that offers a beautiful view of some of the park´s manyattractions. Garden house features:

Wedding Ceremony Facilities
The Sanctuary at Willow Lake is located on the western shore. It canaccommodate wedding ceremonies up to 160 guests. There is a colorful flagstonefloor and a stone fireplace with a 7´ 8" wide mantle.
The Pines Theater
The Pines Theater is an outdoor amphitheater surrounded by tall cathedralpines framed by Goshen stone sound towers, stage front, and the administrativebuilding.
The Gazebo is Victorian and is an ideal location for small weddings. TheGazebo area can accommodate wedding parties up to 25 and is standing roomonly.
