Easter parade

The Easter parade is, another popular event related to the celebrations. The parade is basically, an America cultural event which is informal and mostly unorganized. Participants of the parade dress up in fancy fashionable clothes; ladies hat is an important accessory, which is used to attract attention. The parade started in New York towards mid 1880s, when the ´cream of the crop´ attended a social service in one of the churches, and paraded down the street to showcase their wardrobes. So, this parade is seen as a combination of religious service and fashion.

Easter Bunny

Like Father Christmas, children never get to see the Easter bunny, but he leaves behind eggs and chocolates. The edible gifts are put inside a basket and is hidden somewhere in the house, on the night before Easter. The next morning, children have to hunt throughout the house to find the hidden gift. The reason why the bunny and the egg, became an integral part of celebrating Easter is because, they are symbols of fertility and rebirth. The bunny is among, one of the most loved Easter symbol, for kids all over.
