A Fun Easter Treasure Hunt For All Ages

Finding a treasure hunt that will be fun and is for everyone can be a challenge. However, there are so many ways to build a super fun hunt for Easter! With the weather warming up and flowers coming out, who wants to be inside when being outdoors can be fun and exciting after being holed up inside for the winter season? Children and adults are itching to get outdoors and a fun way to celebrate an Easter for everyone is a treasure hunt!
Buy hollow Easter eggs and shiny fake gold coins or paper confetti that is easy to see., You can also purchase candies and small prizes as well as the final treasure hunt prizes for however many children and or adults will be participating in the hunt.
Pick the destination for the treasure hunt to be held. It can be outside in your yard, at a park, in the woods, or at the church grounds. Create a master plan of the hunt, including the details of where to hide the clues or eggs. Use gold coins or confetti to mark difficult clues to find the hidden treasure items or pathways as a clue towards certain hidden treasure hunt clues. Some fun variations are to include riddles or rhymes as clues inside the eggs. Once they are answered correctly, they will lead to the next set of clues until they reach the final prize destination. Story books with rhymes are a sure way to get young children involved since most children have been read Mother Goose book rhymes.
Another variation is to buy glow in the dark secret items. When a flash light appears on them, they glow the secret message to the next hidden clue. These glows in the dark messages, crayons or pens and colors can be found at craft stores and other large super markets. The hunt can take place during either the day or evening when it is closer to being dark. Chicken, bunny and egg cutouts that have glow in the dark writing on them are a fun way to get kids and adults of any age to enjoy the Easter hunt. Be sure to buy enough flashlights for everyone who will be playing the game if glow in the dark messages are being used for the game.
Gather your family and friends. Easter is the first spring holiday and doing a treasure hunt is not only fun, but a good way to exercise the mind and body! Kids and adults of all ages can have fun with games. No one is too young or too old to enjoy some fun!
